I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
